Role Purpose

The role of the Procurement Specialist will operate as a key member of Procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager. 

To undertake the procurement of goods, works and services to support all Business Units within the organisation. Conduct sourcing and when required tendering according to the company procurement policy to offer the best value to the organisation. Manage orders from Purchase to Pay and ensure delivery when required.

Key Accountabilities 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage procurement orders from purchasing to pay for certain categories of spend
  • Source products and services, receive quotations and tendering when required
  • Drive the right price, right location, right quality, right quantity, and right time for all purchases
  • Provide an efficient and effective communication flow to internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Establish good working relationships with suppliers
  • Ensure all incoming material is aligned to vendor delivery notes. Highlight any discrepancies with the vendor
  • Provide KPIs for Vendor Management, detailing risks and opportunities
  • Consumables stores management when required
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement-related processes and best practices to improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness
  • Support ad hoc procurement-related activities

 

Experience Desired

You should have experience of Procurement management or demonstrate those skills, preferably from a manufacturing background. Excellent MS Excel skills. You will be a well-organised individual who enjoys working with many things at the same time using required procedures to get supply to site and meet required targets.

It is important that you are a good communicator, be able to build relationships and influence other people on-site, other sites and suppliers in different countries. You will be a driven self-motivated person, have great attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent ERP skills.
