Dynamics Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect solutions that deliver results for clients on the D365 Finance and Operations platform
  • Elicit business and functional requirements by communicating with c-level management, directors, and customer project stakeholders
  • Develop functional specification designs
  • Application design, feature optimization, availability, scalability, user experience, visualization, and data integrity
  • Drive the effective transition of requirements to delivery, ensuring a clear and complete understanding
  • Lead and participate in quality management reviews including designs, prototypes and other stages of the project to ensure requirements are fulfilled and successfully delivered to the end customer
  • Integrate and/or improve methodologies and end customer experience
  • Liaise with planning/scheduling/production colleagues to understand what planning and scheduling best practice will look like for the business
  • Deliver hands on training and support to others for all bill of material formulas, planning and scheduling activity in line with Dynamics 365 roll out plan
  • Design and deliver user acceptance testing for each phase of the business in line with the Dynamics 365 roll out plan
  • Be part of the Dynamics 365 team to provide frontline support to the operational teams as systems go live


Experience Desired

  • Degree or higher in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or
  • Statistics 
  • Proven working experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, and Minitab etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to collate business requirements and translate these into technical specifications
  • Use business knowledge and information gathered to design reporting and operational tools for the business, project managing this work and the related tasks assigned to our support partners.
  • Produce professional documentation to support all elements, such as business cases, technical specifications, implementation and testing plans and training manuals.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills – ability to translate functional requirements for technical stakeholders and vice-versa
  • Assist with support issues and minor development requirements as well as responding to requests for data
  • The ability to take a lead role in managing projects, utilising data from business systems and third-party sources
  • Knowledge of the whole business process from order, through production dispatch and invoicing.
  • Experience of lean and six sigma programmes within manufacturing environment, and how data has a key role within them.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing, and data requirements therein
