Job Title: Colour Matcher x 2, Scottish Leather Group
Reports to: Colour Operations Lead, Scottish Leather Group
Location: Bridge of Weir, Scotland

Role Purpose
The Colour Matcher works closely with the Finishing department to ensure that products are finished in the correct colour within customer tolerances. This involves the preparation of mixes as well as providing high quality colour corrections in line with departmental targets to control the number of corrections required.
Key Accountabilities
- Working to Standard Operational Procedures
- Working proactively with the Supervisor and reporting any concerns
- Dealing with minor breakdowns
- Delivering high quality outputs
- Responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety standards are met
- Takes ownership for ensuring all housekeeping duties are met, i.e. clean and safe work area
- Team player: works as part of team to deliver results, sets high standards for self
- Effective communications at all levels
- Colour matching both manually/visually and using the Datacolor computer to meet customer specifications
- Providing high quality Colour corrections on-line for all finishing roller coat and spray machines
- Stock rotation using the FIFO system
- Following correct technical procedures
- Ensuring manual additions of colorants are added as and when required
- Liaising with colour technicians on colour corrections and visual assessments
- Recommending reformulations for colour recipes when required
- Basic preventative maintenance of the dispensing system
Experience Desired
- Superior colour vision required (determined using the Farnsworth Munsell test)
- Experience of working in a fast-paced role and managing own workload
- Experience of working in a manufacturing role would be advantageous
- Able to demonstrate working to improve quality standards and/or making process improvements
