Job Title: BOM Engineer Assistant, Scottish Leather Group
Reports to: Schedule and Operation Planning Manager, Scottish Leather Group
Location: Paisley, Scotland

Role Purpose
To provide the operations team with technical bills of materials, formulas, and routings. Build key datasets within the business ERP system Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). Support the CAD team with extracting design bill of materials through to full manufacturing costed bill of materials. Analyse existing bill of materials, formulas, routings, and enhance the usability of this data in accordance with customer CAD, bill of materials, and D365 F&O operational processes. Provide solutions to various customer demands and specific product builds.
Key Accountabilities
- Generation, and support, of:
- Discrete bill of materials for niche manufacturing operations
- Formulas for mass manufacturing operations
- Operational routings, operations, timings
- Support IT/Dynamics teams with data uploads of technical data
- Support Finance team with data build of production costings – standard cost model
- Support business with review and change management of all above
- Support CAD team with ‘design’ BOM à full manufacturing BOM
Experience Desired
- Experience in Supply Chain or Production environment
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships with all stakeholders
- Able to plan effectively in an environment with ever changing priorities
- Able to work effectively with limited guidance and determine own priorities
- Well-developed personal computing skills including spreadsheet applications
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible and able to work across shifts as required, and at short notice
