Leather is an inherently environmentally friendly product, and leather manufacturing one of the earliest recycling industries. In essence, it takes a by-product of beef and dairy farming and transforms it into a versatile and highly prized material - one which itself can be recycled when it has outlived its original use.

At Bridge of Weir, not only do we believe that leather is an environmentally viable product, but that it can be produced in an environmentally responsible manner. Substantial investment has made us one of the most modern and environmentally efficient leather manufacturers in the world. This commitment is acknowledged in the accreditation of our Baltic Works production facility to the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management.
