Historically, Bridge of Weir's roots can be traced back to 1758, seven generations of family involvement in leather manufacture. Throughout, they benefited from Scotland's advantages of an indigenous skills base, prime beef herds and a plentiful supply of soft, pure water. Building upon this heritage and cumulative experience, Bridge of Weir Leather Company Ltd has been able to lead change rather than follow it.
